Anthony Pascoe
Lately,
I have been interested in illustration so I decided to look up different illustrators and discover what styles are out there, what people enjoy doing, and even get some inspiration. When searching, I found this site
of Anthony Pascoe who I found fascinating. His site has illustrations, charactures, famous people… and they are all in colour. I admire people who can draw with colour. I am yet to master that quality!
I have always wanted to draw Sarah Michelle Gellar, and in the last few months have been doing some drawings, and she was always at the back of my mind. I went to Melbourne about a month ago, and at the Vic Markets there was drawing of Sarah Michelle Gellar that I thought was absoutely awesome!! I think seeing these great drawings has pushed me further in the drawing field.
Buffy used to be my favourite Tv show when I was in college, and I actually have a signed, framed photo of her on my wall, so I should get my butt int gear and draw her. I need to find a big enough image for me to draw off…. it needs to be out of a book, seeing as printing something off a home computer isn’t that great – there’s too much pixalation.
Anyway, I have attempted at drawing Sarah Michelle Gellar. I have also drawn Halle Berrie, which in my opinion is the better of the 2… but only practise can make perfect right?

Anthony Pascoe is quite an inspiration – If I hadn’t seen his work online, I don’t think I would have spent the time I did drawing Sarah Michelle Gellar – which, as said earlier above, has been something I have wanted to do for ages.
“I am committed to delivering a unique artwork that will convey its intended meaning in a personal way, and will work closely with you to ensue that my work meets your own high standards”.

This quote from Anthony Pascoe is exactly what I mean by his inspiration being so beautiful, and the fact that he wishes his inspiration to be yeilded off the same way I have collected it, means ALOT!
It’s fantastic that people and their work can have such an impact on others and the way they design, reference, create etc their work. Having someone to look up to, to draw wisdom from, to enjoy their work is something special. I have learnt to get yourself out there – into the world – into all areas of the world, and see what you can bring back with you. The world is beautiful, with so much to learn from. The world is full of amazing people, amazing designs, amazing artistic flair, amazing everything!
I am studying a course at uni called Networked Media Production. The course reflects on all types of mediums around the world – combining things together that you might not think could mould together, but actually works really well. Thats the way life works in general, and a lot of people network their lives without knowing so.
Anthony Pascoe is a networker, combining all different mediums in his work – such as illustrations, imagery, colour, texture… sometimes combining them together to create one piece, or using each medium individually. Either way, Pascoe is networking his work – and passing that wisdom onto others through his marvelous talent!
